Meta facing 2 US lawsuits for allegedly bypassing Apple privacy settings

Two class-action lawsuits have been filed in the US against Meta after privacy research by former Google engineer Felix Krause revealed Facebook and Instagram in-app browsers track users' web activities after clicking links in their apps. The complaints, filed on behalf of Apple iOS users, allege Meta downplayed privacy risks and disregarded iOS users' privacy preferences in order to track their activity on third-party websites. Meta denied the allegations in a statement.
