Australia joins Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum

Australia has announced the country is joining the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum (CBPR). A statement described Australia's desires for "interoperability and cooperation" between economies while working to "bridge differences in data protection and privacy frameworks." In May, Politico reported that the CBPR hopes the UK will join the forum by the end of the year.
