US has serious concerns over EU digital proposals

US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo has expressed concerns over the EU's collection of proposed digital regulations and their affect on US-based companies. Raimondo said the proposed Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act "will disproportionately impact US-based technology companies and their ability to adequately serve EU customers and uphold security and privacy standards." European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager responded to US concerns, saying US companies are "part of the hearing processes" but EU institutions will "make the decisions about what way to go."
