Survey reveals customers want privacy, transparency and data security

01/03/2022 | Axway

New research from Axway reveals how customers perceive technology changes and how well current digital experiences serve them. Within the survey of 5,074 adults from the UK, Brazil, Germany, France, and the US, convenience is still ranked as a significant factor in consumer behaviour, with 60% of people globally (50% in the UK) believing it's worth allowing companies to access their personal data if it means a better user experience. However, the report also identified that consumers want privacy and control over their data, along with greater transparency. Globally, 90% of respondents want to know specific details about the types of data companies hold and process about them, with only 37% (26% in the UK) feeling companies are transparent. Finally, 85% of global respondents revealed they're concerned that their online data may not be secure.
