Rape victim sued police for revealing her name online

A woman who was raped in 1978 by a group of men claiming to be Welsh rugby players is suing the police for revealing her name online. Only 17 at the time, Jane said that police officers breached her right to anonymity as the victim of a sexual offence. Devon and Cornwall Police has admitted misusing her personal information and has agreed to pay a 6 figure amount to settle her claim.
