UK Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham has been awarded the inaugural Society Medal by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, for her outstanding contribution to the IT sector. The panel of judges praised her investigation into the unlawful data collection practices in political campaigns which probed organisations including Cambridge Analytica, Facebook and Leave EU.
