Apple faces first EU fine inder DMA

Apple is expected to be issued the first fine under the EU Digital Markets Act (DMA) over regulatory concerns about its dominant App Store. The move comes after Apple refused to permit app developers to direct users towards more affordable deals and options outside the App Store. The European Commission could issue the fine before the departure of Margrethe Vestager, the current EU competition commissioner, at the end of the month. However, the announcement could be delayed until later in the year.
