CIPL white paper proposes one-stop-shop mechanism improvements

The Centre for Information Policy Leadership (CIPL) has published a white paper addressing changes to improve the EU General Data Protection Regulation's one-stop-shop mechanism. The CIPL views the mechanism as one of the "essential elements supporting the public policy goal of uniform enforcement" and calls for further harmonisation among data protection authorities. The recommendations include developing a common framework for supervisory authorities regarding procedural rules, fines, and transparency to reduce tensions among DPAs.
