Mobile app privacy labels often inconsistent with privacy notices

Mobile application "privacy nutrition labels" are often inconsistent with information contained within corresponding privacy policies. The nutrition labels introduced by Apple in late 2020 and Google in 2022 were also "not prominently placed (and) used confusing terminology." Developers should compile specific lists of what data is collected, make labels easier to comprehend and easier to find.
