On Wednesday, 29 May 2024, the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) published its 2023 annual report. The report reveals that the DPC received a 20% increase in cases from individuals in 2023 compared to the previous year and that the regulator resolved 3,218 complaints through its formal complaint-handling process. The DPC also received 156 cross-border complaints.
