EDPB overturns Norwegian DPA's daily fines against Meta, ban remains

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has upheld Meta's appeal against the daily fine of up to NOK1 million (£76,000) imposed by the Norwegian data protection authority, Datatilsynet, for its continuing use of illegal surveillance-based behavioural advertising practices. However, the EDPB did not overturn the advertising ban on Mets's targeted advertising model on its Facebook and Instagram platforms.
