Police in Scotland to begin controversial roll-out of Cyber-Kiosk devices

Cyber kiosks are desktop computers allowing specially trained officers to discover whether mobile devices contain information that could be of value to an active police investigation. A total of 41 Cyber-Kiosks are expected to be operational in stations across all Scottish policing divisions by the end of May 2020. 

In a press release by the Open Rights Group, this is a highly intrusive move, which will significantly impact victims and witnesses.
