First-Tier Tribunal reduces ICOs first GDPR fine by two thirds

Following a successful appeal, Doorstep Disparensee Limited has seen a £275,000 formal Monetary Penalty Notice under section 155 of the DPA18 reduced to £92,000. While the decision may fuel criticism of the ICO’s enforcement record, the Tribunal’s decision is largely supportive of the ICO’s original monetary penalty notice.
