EDPB adopts application for controller BCRs recommendations

During its November plenary, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) adopted recommendations on the application for approving controller binding corporate rules (BCRs). The recommendations update the application form, clarify the required content of BCRs and distinguish what information must be included when presented to the data protection authority DPA). The EDPB is seeking public comments on the recommendations until 10 January 2023. Further recommendations for processor BCRs are in development.
