EDPB adopts opinions on draft UK adequacy decision

The European Data Protection Board adopted two opinions on the European Commission's draft U.K. adequacy decision during its 48th plenary session. The EDPB found areas of "strong alignment" between the EU and UK's data protection frameworks while pointing out areas the commission should monitor in its decision based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as how the Immigration Exemption may restrict certain data subject rights.
