EDPB adopts procedural aspects wish list and EU data protection seal

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has urged the European Commission to harmonise procedural aspects in order to better promote "strong and swift enforcement" of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The regulators sent a letter containing a list of its preferred procedures to the Commission, including "investigative powers of data protection authorities" and "procedural deadlines." 

The EDPB also adopted the first European Data Protection Seal under Article 42(5) of the GDPR. Among other things, the certification would demonstrate compliance with the GDPR relating to "processing operations performed by both controllers and processors."
