EDPB calls for consistency between GDPR and other EU digital legislation

In its December plenary session, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) adopted a Statement: Fostering Cross-Regulatory Consistency and Cooperation concerning the Second Report on the Application of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The statement highlights the importance of legal certainty and consistency between the GDPR and other digital legislation, such as the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), the EU Data Strategy and the Digital Services Package.
