The European Data Protection Board has announced plans for coordinated enforcement from EU Member State data protection authorities in relation to cloud services provided by the public sector. The EDPB said more than 75 public bodies in the European Economic Area across various sectors are to be examined in one of four procedures that will either determine the necessity for a formal investigation or move straight into a formal probe. Results of the coordinated work will be analysed before national DPAs will decide whether further supervision or enforcement actions are required.
