EDPB releases 2021 annual report

The European Data Protection Board has published its 2021 annual report. The EDPB's priority over the 12-month period included paying increased attention to international data transfers, following its work in relation to the Schrems II ruling from Court of Justice of the European Union and its part in several EU adequacy decisions. Other areas of focus were the EDPB's contributions to the EU digital reforms, new and updated EU General Data Protection Regulation guidance along with work on the EU Law Enforcement Directive. The EDPB report also cited 209 cases under the GDPR's one-stop-shop mechanism.
