EDPS: cybersecurity and data protection are two sides of the same coin

In a blog article ahead of the EU's Cybersecurity Month, European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) Wojciech Wiewiórowski wrote about how the importance of cybersecurity and data protection cannot be understated in today's digital age. 

It's worth noting that cybersecurity and data protection are not separate entities but rather complementary measures that work together to safeguard personal data, privacy, and the entire EU digital ecosystem, Wiewiórowski wrote. In essence, they are two sides of the same coin, inseparable and necessary for the safety and security of individuals and organisations alike.
