Data Protection requirements hand in hand with anti-money laundering

In a blog post, European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski offers his opinion to the European Commission’s action plan for a comprehensive Union policy on preventing money laundering and terrorism financing. The EDPS believes the Commission should make data protection a golden standard in the context of AML/CFT compliance processes.
