EDPS & AEPD publish joint paper on machine-learning

The European Union emphasised the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in its digital strategy. The Spanish data protection authority (DPA) and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) have issued a joint paper aimed at clearing up common misconceptions associated with a specific subset of AI: machine learning (ML). The paper also addresses the importance of adhering to EU values and data protection principles when implementing ML technologies.
