EDPS and ENISA sign MoU on data security cooperation

The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop strategic cooperation on data protection and cybersecurity-related matters. Discussing the MoU, Wojciech WiewiĆ³rowski said: "Cybersecurity and data protection go hand in hand and are two essential allies for the protection of individuals and their rights. Privacy-enhancing technologies are a good example of this." The agreement includes commitments to adopting privacy-enhancing technologies and increasing the capacities and skills of EU public-sector personnel.
