EDPS gathers stakeholders to discuss enforcement, including GDPR

European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski will meet regulatory stakeholders in order to discuss practical approaches to enforcement, including an assessment of the EU GDPR in June 2022. In a short video announcing the conference, to be held in Brussels on the 16th and 17th June next year, Wiewiórowski said GDPR brought “many advances” in protections of personal data, but also “brought to light” several shortcomings. “This conference will seek to critically discuss these shortcomings and explore improvements and alternative methods for enforcement of GDPR, including a more centralized approach,” he said.
