EDPS publishes guidance on manual contact tracing by EU institutions

The European Data Protection Supervisor has published guidance on manual COVID-19 contact tracing by EU institutions. In accordance with the EU GDPR, institutions can conduct manual contact tracing with “comprehensive data protection measures,” process personal data of staff and their household and must conduct a data protection impact assessment when developing and implementing manual contact tracing.
