Wojciech Wiewiórowski welcomed the EU's efforts to draft consistent standards across institutions, noting that they "provide a good basis" and he implored further work on "assurances for the rights and freedoms of individuals when their data is processed in security operations." In addition, Mr Wiewiórowski recommended that both proposals be aligned with the proposed NIS2 Directive to integrate the "privacy and data protection perspective."
