European Parliament considering NSO Group spyware investigation

The European Parliament is preparing to launch a formal investigation into European countries' alleged surveillance of mobile devices. Members of European Parliament are likely to roll out an inquiry committee that will explore the potential use of NSO Group's Pegasus spyware by EU governments targeting journalists, legal professionals and government opposition leaders. "We need to explain the matter in-depth and protect EU citizens from destroying their privacy," Polish MEP Roza Thun said.
