EDPB chair Andrea Jelinek reflects on her 5-year term

Reflecting on her five-year tenure as chair of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), Andrea Jelinek spoke to EURACTIV's The Tech Brief podcast about her role in overseeing EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) enforcement, the achievements and what challenges remain. On the horizon, Jelinek discussed how the EDPB could bring about the change in approach to enforcement cooperation between data protection authorities and the challenges arising from artificial intelligence technologies and that a GDPR harmonisation law is needed.
