EU Commission introduces connected devices cybersecurity law

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced a cybersecurity law for connected devices. "If everything is connected, everything can be hacked," von der Leyen remarked on the Cyber Resilience Act, adding that the EU should "strive to become a leader" in cybersecurity despite "scarce" resources. Dutch MEP Bart Groothuis said connected devices and the Internet of Things "bring about a great deal of unsecured products" and there's "no European standard yet to be upheld" on the matter.
