EU Parliament considers monitoring group for AI Act implementation

The European Parliament is considering creating a monitoring group to oversee the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) following concerns from Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) regarding the direction the European Commission is taking with key implementation tasks. The matter is expected to be on the agenda for discussion among coordinators of the Parliament's Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) in the coming week.
