Lacombe's EU-US DPF legal challenge could proceed without standing
01/04/2025 | EURACTIV
The future of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) is in doubt as the legal challenge launched by French MP Philippe Latombe will be heard by the General Court of the EU Court of Justice on Tuesday, according to EURACTIV.
The case could be dismissed on procedural grounds based on whether Lacombe has standing (sufficient stake) in US data transfers to pursue such a substantial outcome. However, if the court deems the case serious enough, the hearing could proceed without standing.
