MEPs seek extension on UK data adequacy agreement

MEPs from the Renew group have requested the European Parliament’s Civil Liberties Committee does not proceed with Commission's draft plans to issue data adequacy to the UK. Instead, they propose a delay to allow more time to scrutinise the opinion yet to be submitted by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) on the proposed adequacy decision.
