Political groups call for action following EU Parliament’s data breach

In response to a recent data breach affecting the European Parliament's PEOPLE recruitment system, four political groups have addressed letters to the Parliament's President, calling for further information, action, and clarification of "responsibilities" regarding the incident. The Greens, The Left, and Renew groups have requested the matter to be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the Parliament’s Bureau on 24 June, while the Socialists (S&D) highlighted the need for a general discussion on data handling and the Parliament's responsibilities in such cases.
