EU Commission claims Meta's AI features not cleared under DSA

Following the news that Meta is launching its AI features in the EU, the European Commission has responded, claiming that Meta has yet to submit a risk assessment under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). The DSA relates to MetaAI in areas such as transparency and safety, which the risk assessment must address. A spokesperson for the EU said, "we will carefully analyse all relevant documents to ensure compliance with the DSA and that the feature does not present any undue risks within the European Union."
