MEPs McNamara and Benifei selected to oversee AI Act implementation

Members of the European Parliament, Michael McNamara from Ireland and Brando Benifei from Italy have been appointed to lead the Parliament's monitoring group, which is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). McNamara will serve as co-chair, representing the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), while Benifei will represent the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO).
