On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, the European AI Office opened a call for expressions of interest to participate in drafting the first general-purpose artificial intelligence (GPAI) Code of Practice under the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). The AI Office will accept expressions of interest from GPAI model providers, downstream providers and other industry organisations, civil society organisations, rightsholders organisations, academia, and other independent experts.

Expressions of interest must be submitted online by 25 August 2024.

A second consultation seeks multi-stakeholder contributions towards the development of a Code of Practice for trustworthy general-purpose AI (GPAI) models under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). The GPAI consultation comprises three sections covering transparency and copyright-related provisions, systemic risk: risk taxonomy, assessment and mitigation, and reviewing and monitoring the GPAI Codes of Practice.

Consultation responses can be submitted online before 10 September 2024.
