EU AI Office to host workshop on GPAI models and risks in December

The European AI Office is seeking contributions from expert stakeholders for its online workshop concerning general-purpose AI models and systemic risks on 13 December 2024. The event is intended to facilitate discussions and shape contemporary evaluation methodologies under the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act)

Key discussion topics will include risks related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats, offensive cyber capabilities, potential major accidents, oversight concerns with autonomous AI models, issues of discrimination, privacy infringements, the spread of disinformation, and other systemic risks that may endanger public health and safety, democratic processes, or fundamental rights. Stakeholders interested in participating should submit their papers on evaluation methodologies by 8 December 2024.
