EU Commission asks adult websites for more information under DSA

On Friday, 18 October 2024, the European Commission has asked the operators of adult websites Pornhub, Stripchat, and XVIideos to provide further detailed information under the Digital Services Regulation (DSA) on the measures related to their transparency reporting and content moderation processes. The Commission is concerned that the sites lack clear and easy-to-understand information on their content moderation practices. The operators of the three websites have until 7 November to provide the requested information.

The latest request follows a similar request in June when the Commission asked how the adult websites measures assess and mitigate risks related to the protection of minors online and prevent the amplification of illegal content and gender-based violence.
