EU Commission issues RFI to YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok under DSA

On Wednesday, 2 October 2024, the European Commission issued a request for information (RFI) under the Digital Services Act (DSA) to YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok concerning their use of recommender systems. Responses to the requested information must be submitted by 15 November 2024.

In related news, the European Consumer Organization (BEUC) has responded to the European Commission's consultation call for evidence on the drafting of guidelines under Article 28(1) of the DSA to support online platforms in their efforts to protect minors online.
