EU Work Programme 2023 to focus on harmonised GDPR enforcement

The European Commission has published its Work Programme for 2023, which includes initiatives such as digital enforcement and improved data use. The commission will propose amendments to consumer protection cooperation rules, along with updates encouraging a more harmonised approach by data protection authorities (DPAs) enforcing the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Work Programme will also include proposals for a "common European mobility data space" and improved financial data access through an open finance framework.
