European Commission launches DSA Transparency Database

The European Commission has launched the Digital Services Act (DSA) Transparency Database, a regulatory repository that provides data on content moderation decisions of online platforms active in the EU. The database is accessible to the general public and is groundbreaking in its level of detail and granularity. The providers of Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) are already required to submit data to this database as part of their compliance with DSA. From 17 February 2024, all providers of online platforms, except for micro and small enterprises, will have to submit data on their content moderation decisions.
