European Commission publishes draft data access regulation under DSA

On Tuesday, 29 October 2024, the European Commission opened a public consultation on a draft regulation to increase the transparency and accountability of digital platforms under the Digital Services Act (DSA)

The regulation will require Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) and Very Large Online Search Engines (VLOSEs) to provide vetted researchers with access to data to study systemic risks and assess the effectiveness of mitigation measures.
