European Commission publishes DSA user reporting guidelines

The European Commission has published new guidance to assist companies in complying with the requirement to publish user numbers under the EU Digital Services Act. The Commission will use the reported user numbers to determine whether to designate companies with more than 45 million users as very large online platforms or search engines. Companies have until 17 February to publish their initial report, with updates required once every 6 months thereafter.
