European Parliament adopts plans EU digital wallet

The European Parliament has adopted provisions for the Digital Identity Wallet (DIW), which forms part of the EU Digital Identity Framework, allowing EU citizens to identify themselves online. The new provision will protect EU citizens' rights and promote an inclusive digital system but will also avoid discrimination against people who choose not to use the digital wallet.
