The EU aims to rewrite online advertising rules

The European Parliament has approved two legislative initiative reports that call upon the European Commission to remedy issues seen within the online environment as part of its Digital Services Act package. The European Parliament wants users to have more control over the content they encounter online, including stricter regulations on targeted advertising, and for all third-country digital service providers to adhere to the Digital Services Act when directing services at EU customers.
