Facebook announces developer data protection assessment

In a blog post, Facebook has introduced a new initiative setting out requirements for developers with applications that access advanced permissions on its platform. The Data Protection Assessment is a questionnaire asking developers how they protect, share and use platform data. "This is the next step among several initiatives we've introduced over the past year to ensure that we are continuously making progress toward our commitment to people's privacy and data security," the company said.
