Forrester predicts businesses will prioritise privacy in 2021

Research analyst Forrester forecasts that global businesses will invest heavily in privacy in 2021 during a year of transition. As consumers and businesses move forward after the pandemic, three privacy-related trends will underpin this transition: 1) businesses will continue to collect personal data from consumers and employees, 2) consumers will prefer to engage with and entrust their data to ethical businesses, and 3) regulatory compliance complexity will increase. At the same time, Forrester also predicts that global data breaches due to insider threats will rise to 33%.
