ISC2 cybersecurity workforce study reveals industry skills gap

The latest ISC2 annual cybersecurity workforce study revealed the industry skills gap has reached a record high. The report surveyed almost 15,000 cyber professionals and found that roughly 4 million professionals are needed globally to safeguard the digital world properly, an increase of around 13% compared to last year. The report also identified that almost half of all cybersecurity professionals have experienced layoffs, budget cuts, or freezes on their teams, and nearly a third expect additional cutbacks next year.
