FPF publishes report on automated decision-making under the EU GDPR

A new report from the Future of Privacy Forum analyses case-law into real-life automated decision-making cases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The report looks at more than 70 court cases, decisions from data protection authorities, along with other guidance and policy documents from regulatory bodies. The FPF says that its analysis “shows that the GDPR as a whole is relevant for ADM cases and has been effectively applied to protect the rights of individuals in such cases,” mentioning clear transparency obligations and precise conditions for valid consent.
