Monitoring workplace discrimination not at odds with GDPR

The Future of Privacy Forum has published a detailed opinion defending the right to monitor cultural diversity in the workplace and that it is not at odds with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The article concludes: "A positive human rights-based approach is that data-collection processes should be based on self-identification, participation, and data protection. Where all three principles are safeguarded, the process will be controlled and can be trusted without being inherently problematic or in need of constant monitoring."
